Living Water

Living Water

Living Water

Supplies needed: Magic endless water Jug. There are many different styles of the water jug that can be found online, one at https://www.magictricks.com/endless-water-jug.html for $7.99. Or https://makeitmagic.com/search?q=water+jug for $6.99.

Key Scripture: John 4:5–42

Theme: Only Jesus can satisfy our deepest needs. While people and things may disappoint us, Jesus offers “Living Water”—the love, acceptance, forgiveness, and joy that never run out.

In this children’s message, kids explore the difference between what they want and what they truly need. Through the story of Jesus meeting the Samaritan woman at the well, we learn that looking for love, happiness, and acceptance in people or things will always leave us empty—like trying to fill a cup that has holes in it. But Jesus offers “Living Water,” the only source that truly satisfies our hearts. As the woman discovers that Jesus knows her completely and loves her fully, children discover that Jesus is the one who fills them with everything they truly need: love, forgiveness, acceptance, and eternal life.

Key Takeaway:
People may disappoint us, but Jesus never does. Only Jesus can fill our hearts with true love, joy, and lasting satisfaction.

Supplies needed: The Six Bill Repeat Magic Trick (Can be found on eBay and online magic shops with prices ranging from $5 to $20.) This trick is easy to learn but does take a little practice. Instructions come with the trick and there are many video demonstrations on YouTube.

Key Scripture: Luke 19:1-10

Theme: When we meet Jesus, our hearts are transformed — generosity replaces greed.

This interactive children’s sermon combines Bible teaching with a fun “Six Bill Repeat” gospel magic trick to bring the story of Zacchaeus to life! Kids learn about greed, generosity, and how meeting Jesus changes hearts. Through an engaging object lesson using dollar bills, children see how giving to others is really giving back to God. This message helps them understand that cheerful giving comes from gratitude, not obligation.

Key Takeaway: True joy doesn’t come from having more — it comes from giving more. When we give from the heart, we honor God and help others in need.

Hide & Seek

Living Water

Hide & Seek

 Scripture: John 4:4–26 , Proverbs 5:21

Theme: God Sees Us Fully—and Loves Us Completely

This message uses familiar childhood games like Peek-a-Boo and Hide & Seek to help children understand an important spiritual truth: We can hide our mistakes from others, but we can never hide them from God.

In this playful yet powerful sermon, children explore how early games—like Peek-a-Boo and Hide & Seek—teach us about visibility, trust, and how we sometimes try to hide when we’ve done something wrong.

Using a creative object lesson with buttons (sin) hidden in a glass of soda, kids visually see that even when we try to hide our wrong choices, they eventually rise to the surface. The Bible shows many examples of people trying to hide from God—Adam and Eve, Jonah, and others—yet God still reached out in love.

The gospel story of The Woman at the Well reminds us that Jesus already knows everything we’ve done. And instead of running from Him, He invites us to step into the light—“Olly Olly oxen free”—because His forgiveness is safe, gentle, and complete.

Key Takeaway: We can’t hide from God and we don’t need to.

He sees everything, loves us completely, and invites us to come to Him.
