About Greta

After serving 22 years in ministry to families, children, and youth, I recently retired — but my passion for sharing God’s Word with young hearts continues. 

Throughout my ministry career, one of my greatest joys was preparing and presenting children's sermons nearly every Sunday, along with writing biblical lessons for kids from preschool through 12th grade. 

Over the years, many have encouraged me to publish my messages, so I’m excited to use this platform to share my collection of biblically grounded, story-driven lessons that both teach and inspire.

1. Relational and Conversational - I connect with children by asking questions, using humor, and sharing personal stories. This approach helps them feel comfortable and engaged, making biblical lessons for kids more impactful.

2. Story-Driven and Visual - I use vivid imagery, props, and real-life examples to make spiritual lessons concrete and memorable, enhancing the effectiveness of children's sermons.

3. Scripture-Centered but Accessible - Every message is rooted in Scripture, yet I explain biblical truth in simple, relatable language that children can grasp, ensuring they understand the core of the ministry to families.

4. Reflective and Practical - I guide children and youth to apply lessons to their daily lives — forming good habits, expressing gratitude, or preparing for Jesus’ coming.

5. Warm and Encouraging - My tone is kind, hopeful, and nurturing. I affirm their faith and gently challenge them to grow closer to God through engaging biblical lessons for kids.

6. Approachable - My tone feels like a caring friend or mentor sitting with them, not preaching at them, making the experience of children's sermons inviting.

7. Joyful and Hopeful - Even when addressing serious topics — sin, repentance, loss — my overall tone remains encouraging, pointing toward hope in Christ and reinforcing the principles of ministry to families.

Greta has served faithfully, sharing her gifts, creativity, and love for God’s people, particularly our children and youth. Through Sunday School, children's sermons, Confirmation, Vacation Bible School, a variety of trips, and countless other ministries, she has nurtured faith, built relationships, and helped form the next generation of disciples with biblical lessons for kids. We give thanks to God for her dedication and the many ways she has enriched our congregation.
